It all started in Huntington Park.

We opened our discount store in 2024, selling everyday clothing
basics, like a pair of jeans and a shirt, at a price cheaper than a meal
from McDonald's. We kept our commitment to no gimmicks and no
compromises on quality. Big-name brands at everyday prices, which are
realistic for everyone. We closed down half the stores on that block.

Of course, everything good has an end. Our landlord issues led to an unfortunate store closure in May 2025.

We were undeterred.

We took our business online and started selling on eBay. Despite an
uphill journey, we learned and made progress one order at a time until
we hit 900. This told us everything we needed to know: people appreciate
good brand name clothing sold at a fair price.

The only problem was the increasing eBay and shipping fees. We wanted to sell big, give big, and change the world.

So we built Layalita.

We took our core values from our original store and put them onto an
online platform. Everyone deserves to shop at a store that sells
clothing that looks good and is affordable. Your wallet shouldn't
dictate your fashion.
